Irena Neski (portrayed by Oksana Akinshina) is the orphaned daughter of Russian politician Vladimir Neski and his wife. Irena's parents were both murdered by Jason Bourne, on orders from Ward Abbott, via. Alexander Conklin - this was Bourne's first assassination operation, who then staged the scene to make it look like Irena's mother shot and killed her father, and then committed suicide.
An orphan at a young age, she believed her mother was guilty and, at the time of The Bourne Supremacy, currently lives alone in an apartment in Moscow. Irena had spent years not entirely understanding why her parents had died, and retained a photograph of them together; to remember them.
In the ending of The Bourne Supremacy; she returned home to find an injured Bourne in her apartment - he confesses his part in her parents' deaths, and then apologizes to her. Irena was visibly traumatized at what she had heard and, as Bourne left the apartment, was left in shock and crying.
